Applying a Scalar Risk Factor

Use this dialog box to apply a scalar risk factor. A risk factor that has a single value such as an index are known as scalar, in contrast to factors which are represented by multiple values on a curve. Procedures for using each command in the dialog box are provided below.

To change the value of a risk factor curve, choose either set to, factor or offset in the Modifier menu. Use set to to assign a specific value. Use factor to make a percentage change for a multiplier effect. Use offset to add or subtract a certain amount to the current overall curve factor.

Depending on the selected modifier, type the desired point change in the Change text box. For example, to increase the factor by a percentage, click factor as the modifier, then type the percentage value in the Change field.
