Use this dialog box to apply risk factor changes to the overall curve. Yield curves, for example, can have spread offsets, multipliers applied or values set to a constant for 'what if' scenarios. Procedures for using each command in the dialog box are provided below.
Click the Shift Curve checkbox to apply an overall change to the risk factor curve. If you leave the box unchecked you can edit individual data point modifier values and/or term periods.
The Term column displays the time intervals for future values of the risk factor curve. To change any term periods, make sure the Shift Curve checkbox is unchecked, then click inside the desired cell. Type a new value or use the scroll arrows to increase or decrease the value. You can also choose the term period.
To delete specific term values from the risk factor curve, click the appropriate modifier value cell, then click Delete.
The Modifier Value column displays each data value for listed term intervals of the risk factor curve.
To change the value of a risk factor curve, choose either set to, factor or offset in the Modifier menu. Use set to to assign a specific value. Use factor to make a percentage change for a multiplier effect. Use offset to add or subtract a certain amount to the current overall curve factor.
Depending on the selected modifier, type the desired point change in the Change text box. For example, to increase the factor by a percentage, click factor as the modifier, then type the percentage value in the Change field.
